Renowned Author, Brad Meltzer to Appear as Literary Guest Speaker at Coral Springs Festival of the Arts 2023

Renowned Author, Brad Meltzer

(Coral Springs, FL, January 17, 2023) – The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is excited to announce that the 2023 Festival Literary Workshop will be led by Brad Meltzer. Mr. Meltzer is a talented author whose work includes the #1 New York Times bestselling The Lightning Rod, The Escape Artist, and eleven other bestselling thrillers as well as several children’s books and he currently hosts several shows on the History Channel. This year’s Literary Workshop will be held in-person at the Northwest Regional Library in Coral Springs on Friday, March 17th from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Tickets are not required but seating is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.

The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is truly honored to be working with Mr. Meltzer and the Broward Library to bring such a special event to the Festival. In addition to his fiction, Brad is one of the only authors to ever have books on the bestseller list for Non-Fiction (The First Conspiracy), Advice (Heroes for My Son and Heroes for My Daughter), Children’s Books (I Am Amelia Earhart and I Am Abraham Lincoln) and even comic books (Justice League of America), for which he won the prestigious Eisner Award.

He is also the host of Brad Meltzer’s Lost History and Brad Meltzer’s Decoded on the History Channel and is responsible for helping find the missing 9/11 flag that the firefighters raised at Ground Zero, making national news on the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Meltzer unveiled the flag at the 9/11 Museum in New York, where it is now on display. The Hollywood Reporter recently put him on their list of Hollywood’s 25 Most Powerful Authors. In Brad Meltzer’s own words, “We are all ordinary. We are all boring. We are all spectacular. We are all shy. We are all bold. We are all heroes. We are all helpless. It just depends on the day.”

Coral Springs Craft Guild

Coral Springs Craft Guild

At Coral Springs Craft Guild, we are so thrilled to be celebrating our 46th year of crafting, fellowship in our monthly meetings, and preparing for our Annual Craft Show!

We invite you to come join us for any of our monthly crafting programs! Our programs are free and include complete step by step instructions and some materials. On February 15, create a fun home décor item called Stacked Books!

For our program for March, we will all paint a beautiful hibiscus on canvas! Not a painter…don’t worry! Our programs are designed for all skill levels and include lots of hints and help to ensure that you have fun and are successful with the project.

Our website, CoralSpringsCraftGuild.com, will provide you with information about our programs and anything you might need to bring, as well as the Guild itself, our annual Craft Show, our annual scholarships given to high school seniors, and our Community Service projects! You can contact us through the website if you have any questions about the Guild or the programs.

We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at Cypress Hammock Park, 1300 Coral Springs Drive, (on the west side, between Royal Palm and Atlantic). We’ll be in the building right by the tennis courts. Hope to see you there, and visit our booth at the Festival of the Arts next month!
